London Eye hosts spooky spells and wonderful wizardry this Halloween

September 2008

This Halloween, from 18 October to 2 November, the London Eye is set to become an even more magical attraction, playing host to a wizard’s mystical laboratory. What most people do not know about the London Eye is that it hides a dark side. The London Eye is in fact a secret portal through which dark forces can enter into London. Wizard Belvedere, the Guardian of London town mixes potions, lotions and has notions in his laboratory at the base of the London Eye which ensure everyone in London are kept safe from these dark forces. However, a wicked witch has flown through the London Eye and has cast a forgetting spell on Wizard Belvedere allowing the portal to open at Halloween and Wizard Belvedere can’t remember a single bit of magic.

To banish the wicked witch’s curse forever, Wizard Belvedere is calling on all children to act as his Wizard Apprentices and cast a spell when they reach the top of the London Eye. The budding apprentices need to solve the clues to find the ingredients for the magic potion by completing the in-flight puzzle card.

For Wizard Apprentices that want to take to the skies and learn more about this secret untold London story, Secret Spell Flights provide the perfect opportunity. Whilst enjoying the breathtaking views, a Halloween commentary will unfold telling visitors exciting tales of trickery and sorcery. Children will also receive a Halloween goody bag full of magical surprises.

Now in its fourth year, the popular London Eye River Cruise also takes on a magical theme this Halloween, giving families the chance to learn about the mystical past of the capital city. On the Secret Spell Cruise passengers get to enjoy the views of the famous riverside landscape whilst the dusky sky line enhances the magical atmosphere.
