The lastminute.com London Eye has announced a series of experiences for those who have missed out on much coveted Eras tour tickets, or for those who just can’t get enough Taylor. Taylor by Candlelight, a performance inspired by the musical scores of Swift’s most famous songs, will be hosted on the London Eye pods at dusk surrounded by candlelight.
Opening on 19th August, Taylor By Candlelight will allow Swifties to pay homage to the star with other fans, will offer a double rotation (with the experience lasting an hour) as well as a welcome drink for guests to sip on as they enjoy the music and spectacular views over the capital.
Not only that but all will take home an exclusive and limited edition ‘Eye <3 Tay’ friendship bracelet, an accessory that has become synonymous with the tour and fans love across the world.
In partnership with RG Live and Sony Music, this once in a lifetime experience for Swifties, for only four nights in August, will coincide with the star’s return to London for the last leg of her European tour, and before saying So Long, London.
Steve Blackburn, Senior General Manager at the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “What better way to celebrate as a Swiftie than soar across the skyline to stunning symphonies inspired by Swift?
“We know ‘all too well’ that Taylor's concerts are more than just performances—they're life-changing experiences. So, we wanted to add a touch of London Eye magic to the atmosphere that Taylor is bringing to the end of her European Eras tour leg.
“Our Taylor By Candlelight performances offer a totally unique experience for those who may have missed out on tickets to see their favourite artist (or those who just can’t get enough).”
Laura Citron OBE, CEO of Visit London, said: “We’re very proud that London is hosting more shows than any other city on Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, a real testament to her love for London. The tourism impact of the tour is expected to be huge: with flight bookings to London up as much as 34%* compared to 2023, and hotel searches four times higher in the week leading up to her second leg in August**.
Music and entertainment continue to be leading motivators for visitors to London, and thanks to the quality and breadth of music events on offer here, our Visit London poll sees London rank above other international cities as the most popular city to travel to for live music. Beyond the Eras Tour, it’s going to be another packed summer of music as we welcome international artists like the Foo Fighters, Tom Jones, and SZA. With three quarters of visitors saying they would extend their trip after attending a music event in London, the London Eye's Taylor by Candlelight Pods are definitely a must-do activity for Swifties to make the most of summer in the capital."
